Terrell Culver, of Bridgeport, was arrested Saturday, Feb. 1, after Bridgeport Police received a call that two men were in a dispute on Myrtle Avenue, said Scott Appleby, director of Bridgeport's Office of Emergency Management.
When police arrived on the scene they found a man with stab wounds and rushed him to St. Vincent's Hospital, Appleby said.
Reportedly, the neighbor said he was in his apartment when Culver, burst in and began stabbing him before stopping the attack and started stabbing himself all over his body.
A short time later, Bridgeport Police received numerous calls of a person on Park Avenue with stab wounds and acting out of control, said Appleby.
When police arrived, they found Culver covered in blood from the self-inflicted stab wounds.
He was transported to Bridgeport Hospital and placed under arrest on charges of criminal attempt/murder and assault. His bond was set at $100,000, Appleby said.
He is being guarded at the hospital by Bridgeport officers, Appleby said.
